Export Process
A typical FCL export order follows these steps from confirmation to delivery.
Order Confirmation
Advance payment received. Production or procurement begins.
Quality Inspection
Pre-shipment inspection by our QC team or approved TPI agency (SGS, Intertek).
Export Documentation
COA, COO, commercial invoice, packing list, and market-specific certificates prepared.
Customs Clearance
Export customs filing via licensed Customs House Agent (CHA). Shipping bill generated.
Port Loading
Goods loaded at JNPT or designated Indian port. Bill of Lading / AWB issued.
Transit & Tracking
Real-time container tracking shared. ETA confirmed upon vessel departure.
Destination Arrival
Arrival notice sent. All documents couriered or emailed for import clearance.
Shipping Modes
FCL (Full Container Load)
Dedicated 20ft or 40ft container. Best for orders ≥ 15 CBM or 10+ MT. Typical transit: 12–28 days.
LCL (Less than Container Load)
Consolidated cargo. Suitable for smaller volumes. Shared container cost. Transit: 14–35 days.
Air Freight
Express delivery for samples, urgent orders, or high-value low-volume goods. Transit: 3–7 days.
Courier / DHL
Document samples and small commercial parcels under 70kg. Door-to-door with tracking.
Incoterms We Support
Free On Board — goods delivered to Indian port. Buyer arranges ocean freight and insurance.
Cost, Insurance & Freight — IndianXporter covers freight and insurance to destination port.
Ex Works — buyer arranges all logistics from our warehouse. Lowest price point.
Delivered at Place — we deliver to named destination. Buyer handles customs clearance.
Delivered Duty Paid — full door-to-door service including destination customs. Premium option.
FOB and CIF are most commonly used for Indian exports. Our team recommends the best Incoterm based on your risk preference and volume.

JNPT (Mumbai)
Primary port for FCL containerised exports — largest container port in India.
Nhava Sheva
Adjacent to JNPT. Handles bulk agro and chemical exports.
Chennai Port
Preferred for Southeast Asia, Far East and Oceania shipments.
Delhi Air Cargo
Express air freight for samples, urgent orders and pharmaceutical shipments.
Mumbai Airport
Large-volume air freight for high-value or time-critical cargo.
Payment Terms
TT (Telegraphic Transfer)
30–50% advance + balance before shipment or against BL copy.
LC at Sight
Irrevocable Letter of Credit from a prime bank. Full shipment value covered.
LC 30/60/90 Days
Usance LC available for established buyer relationships.
PayPal / Wire
For small orders under USD 5,000 or sample shipments.
