EU Novel Foods Regulation (2015/2283): Several Ayurvedic herbs — including Ashwagandha root extract, Moringa powder, and Brahmi — are under EU Novel Food evaluation. We advise buyers on the regulatory pathway for each ingredient before purchase.

Ethylene Oxide (ETO) Ban: The EU banned ETO as a fumigant for food and botanical products in 2020 following Salmonella incidents. Indian herb exporters must use alternative sterilisation: steam sterilisation, UV irradiation, or cold plasma.
