Shipping & Logistics Policy
Standard operating procedures for international B2B bulk freight.
1. Port of Loading & Dispatch
All bulk agricultural and industrial exports are primarily dispatched from Nhava Sheva (Mumbai), Mundra (Gujarat), or Chennai Port, depending on the sourcing region and vessel availability. Air freight shipments are dispatched via Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) or Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL).
2. Incoterms Accepted
We operate strictly under ICC Incoterms® 2020. Our standard pricing is provided on a FOB (Free On Board) basis unless otherwise requested. We also offer comprehensive CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) and CFR (Cost and Freight) pricing to most major global ports upon request.
3. Handling & Transit Times
- Order Processing & Custom Clearance: 5 to 14 business days after confirmation of LC or advance payment.
- Sea Freight Transit Times:
- Middle East (Dubai, Saudi Arabia): 4 - 8 Days
- Europe (Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe): 20 - 28 Days
- USA East Coast (New York): 22 - 30 Days
- USA West Coast (Los Angeles/Long Beach): 30 - 38 Days
- Southeast Asia (Singapore, Port Kelang): 6 - 12 Days
4. Export Documentation
To ensure seamless customs clearance at the destination port, we provide the following standard documentation with every shipment:
- Commercial Invoice & Packing List
- Bill of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybill (AWB)
- Certificate of Origin (GSP, Preferential, or Non-Preferential)
- Phytosanitary Certificate (for agricultural goods)
- Fumigation Certificate
- SGS / Bureau Veritas Inspection Certificate (if requested by buyer)
5. Container Specifications
We support both FCL (Full Container Load - 20ft / 40ft) and LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments. Container gross weights are strictly adhered to as per international maritime regulations and destination port limits.
6. Insurance
For CIF shipments, marine insurance is covered by IndianXporter at 110% of the invoice value against all risks (ICC A). For FOB and CFR shipments, the buyer is solely responsible for insuring the cargo from the moment it passes the ship's rail at the port of loading.
