About Whole Masoor
Whole Masoor (Lens culinaris) is the unsplit, brown-skinned red lentil — the whole form before dehulling reveals the orange interior of split masoor dal. Whole masoor retains its seed coat, giving it a firmer bite, a nuttier flavour, and a longer cook time than the split lentil, making it ideal for traditional whole-lentil dishes, sprouting, salads, and feed.
